NEW SIGHT BALLAD

Put my eyes in the holes in my head designed for eyes
And I saw a surprise and my brain said bye bye

I looked out of my window to my first real day, and I saw people being unkind to each other, and a homeless man eating the ashes of his cremated mother, because no-one would give him a fish finger sandwich. And from the gutter bubbled the indifference of the majority, choking a worm who was trying to drag an apple tree seed to some fertile land.

Why, why does it have to be this way?
There's no love in this world, I want to hide away,
In a creepy castle, on a hilltop, I'm going to move today...

Walking through the town, I witnessed a burglary - they only got away with the old man's teeth, which they threw at a dog. In trying to remove his teeth from the dog, the old man inadvertantly ate the poor hound, and choked on the hair. Stepping over his corpse, I cried into a puddle, and saw the reflection of Mother Earth. And people - she was crying too.

In my spooky hilltop castle, I'm going to make things right,
Gonna make Jesus happy, gonna fight the good fight,
Encouraging a gentle breeze for the amelioration of conditions for flying kites...
